The student learns in supervised groups, taking the role of student and teacher alternately to facilitate the learning process. The methodology is taught through verbal instruction and physical guidance of a moving person, reinforcing the correct execution of breathing patterns synchronized with the corresponding movements. The student will learn how to execute these breathing patterns and corresponding movements in her or his own body, and will also learn, as teacher, how to physically guide another student in the execution of the exercises. All exercises will be taught based on the Foundation Level 1 Syllabus and Manual.

Pre-requisite: The student must present to the Master Trainer the Pre-Training Qualification Agreement that has been signed by both the Pre-Trainer and the student in order to gain entry into the Course. The Master Trainer reserves the right to refuse a student entry into any Foundation Training Course if the Master Trainer assesses that the student is not ready or prepared for the Course.

JUERGEN BAMBERGER,
Authorized GYROTONIC® Master Trainer; B.A. Dance Education, New York, USA.
Juergen has been teaching annually at the Body Mind Spirit Conference, the Esalen Institute and since 2010 at the PMA Conference.

Juergen is an internationally recognized movement educator who has been deeply involved in dance, movement arts and bodywork for more than 30 years. He has been teaching GYROTONIC® full time since 1991 and has been traveling worldwide to train and certify movement professionals in the GYROTONIC EXPANSION SYSTEM®.

Juergen is a Master Trainer for the entire GYROTONIC® curriculum, including the Specialized Equipment, GYROKINESIS® and the LEVEL 2 of GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS®. He was one of the first Master Trainers appointed by Juliu Horvath, while teaching at Juliu’s original studio in New York City. During 9 years at the White Cloud Studio, Juergen learned first hand from the creator of the Gyrotonic® methodology.

He pioneered in applying Gyrotonic® to Physical Therapy at clinics in NYC and Germany in the early 90’s.  For many years he instructed professional dancers from acclaimed companies such as the Alvin Ailey Company, ABT, New York City Ballet and Merce Cunningham.

He is an ‘Awakening Your Light Body’ graduate and studied ‘Roselight’ Energy Work with Amy Skezas. Juergen received his B.A. in Dance and Dance Education at the Rotterdamse Dansakademie in the Netherlands and performed as a dancer in the US and Europe.
